I applied for a job that honestly was way below my education, but in my field. They asked for my LinkedIn…one of the hiring managers looked at my profile once. Black Woman. Gorgeous photo, all my accolades matching my resume, again WAY BELOW my experience level. But all it took was that one look. Denied. Not even a day. It took me longer to format my cover letter. Guess they wanted a white girl. Life goes on. Rejection is protection or whatever other BS they told us to keep us in a rat race.
